Whenever I find myself in between projects, I’m always at a loss for what to do. There’s a reason I have so many projects on the back burner, including right now where I have two novels essentially written and in various forms of being worked on, all of this on top of Cracked Palace being edited and readied for release.
This time around, I’ve gone back to writing short stories, one of my favorite things to do. For a long time I’d write shorter flash fiction to keep myself sharp, but now I’ve been returning to explore longer stuff. I’m not sure what will come of it, but I know I’m enjoying it while I take a break from my longer works for now.
If you want to read some of my short fiction, I have some up on my website right now, as well as monthly stories I publish via Patreon.
We’re all watching the spectacular self-immolation of Elon Musk right now and I invite you to join me on Mastodon if you haven’t already. There are a lot of great instances out there you can join. Right now my home is wandering shop, which I’m enjoying immensely.

I have a lot of things I’d love to say about Musk’s public downfall and how it relates to publishing, but I’ll save that for another time.
That’s it for now. I have a BookBub Featured Deal *and* a StoryBundle coming up, so I’ll have a lot more to talk about in a week from now. For now, let’s listen to Ember Knight.
